The cool, crisp, clean air of Portland,

Oregon, accompanied with natural beauty and

scenery, makes for a unique environment found

in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.

Originally Portland thrived as a center

for fishing, agriculture, and timber. Many of

those industries are relevant even today. Portland

has the all the amenities of a large metro scene, while

maintaining a small town charm. The official and most

common nickname for Portland is " The City of Roses."

Apparently the Portland climate is ideal for growing

roses and Portland has had this nickname for decades.

Portland is a combination of micro-breweries, coffee

houses, a thriving indie music industry, and a population

that loves the great outdoors. Portland is a beautiful city

with a reverence for its historical buildings, monuments,

and local pioneers. Portland has also embraced it's modern

architecture, technology and advancements in green energy.

" Satisfaction of one's curiosity is one of the greatest

sources of happiness in life."
