Located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains on the Western slope

of the Continental Divide in Southeastern British Columbia  is

Yoho National Park of Canada. 

Established in 1886, Yoho National Park encompasses over 500

square miles, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site 

in 1984. The park includes significant waterfalls, peaks, canyons,

lakes, and park visitors can enjoy camping in this natural wonder.

For those not wishing to rough it there are nearby cabin rentals 

as well. There is an abundance of wildlife including Moose, Elk,

Grizzly Bear, and Cougar. 

Yoho is a Cree Indian expression meaning awe and wonder, and

the park has left many visitors with just those feelings.

Yoho National Park is open year-round with summer temperatures

rannging from 40-70 degrees and winter temperatures can be as low

as 30 below 0, so plan accordingly.
