www.theglobaldigital.com Valley Forge National Historical Park
Valley Forge is the historical camp located in
Pennsylvania, chosen by the American Continental
Army. This encampment took place in the winter of
1777-1778 during the American Revolutionary War.
Located a little over 20 miles north of Philadelphia,
the site was selected because of its strategic location
and to prevent raids by the British.
The park was Pennsylvania's first state park until
it was transferred to the National Park Service in 1976.
For more information on the park, visit the website
